A universal tag manager is placed on the CASTsurgical.com landing pages to track when a visitor lands on the page. This allows us to attribute when you’ve viewed a Core Access Surgical Technologies online ad and either clicked on the ad to visit our website or viewed an ad, and then, decided to visit the website directly or completed a search online to find us. There is a Facebook pixel which lives within the Sizmek universal tag manager. The pixel is a line of code used as an analytics tool that allows us to measure the effectiveness of our social posts to ensure we’re delivering them to the right people and to understand the actions visitors exhibit on the website. This pixel allows Core Access Surgical Technologies to build advertising audiences to customize who we reach further via social posts.Sizmeks’ partners’ pixels are placed within the Sizmek universal tag manager, so they can better target the right audiences who are interested in Core Access Surgical Technologies products.
– (Marketo Munchkin:_mkto_trk) – The default behavior of Marketo Munchkin is to do the following on page load:
- Check to see if the current browser has a Munchkin cookie and create one if it is not there.
- Send a “Visit Web Page” event to the designated Marketo instance using the information from the current page and browser. This records an activity to the corresponding record in Marketo.
- Send “Clicked Link on Web Page” event for any user clicks that occur on links.

- (Adobe Dynamic Tag Management) – is part of the Adobe Experience Manager content management system used to modify and manage CASTsurgical.com. It allows developers and administrators to embed analytics code (which they call “tags”) on certain pages according to rules they define. In the case of CASTsurgical.com, it is used to embed the Google Analytics tracking code (which creates the _gid, _ga, and _gatcookies) and the Sizmek analytics tracker (responsible for the A6, OT2, OT_8642 and u2 cookies) – to function it also adds the _sm_au_c
